Page 7 - Forward Thinking - Children and Young People's Mental Health and Wellbeing Transformation Plan Wirral
P. 7

With its welcome mat and warm atmosphere, the ‘homely information base’ recognises the importance of getting advice and support out into new areas in our community. Areas that make sense to young people and make it easier for them to come forward and get help. Seen busily knitting an ‘essential lifeline’, this home-made approach uses local expertise to create the right solutions to best suit the community’s needs.
With a focus of our plan being to create new ways of working in partnership with:
schools,
colleges
and other well-known providers
...the aim is to build a universal network that can support everybody’s needs.
What is important about this approach is that this network will continue to grow as children, young people, families and different professionals share their experiences and understanding; helping to knit together local provision to provide a seamless blanket of support without any holes.
